Kuwait- Court Acquits Two Engineers Of Swindling Citizen

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Misdemeanor Court, chaired by Judge Obaid Al-Usaimi, acquitted two engineers working with a consultancy office, of falsification and swindling a Kuwaiti man as they violated stipulations of their agreement with the latter on the construction of a building

The Public Prosecution had charged the defendants of falsifying agreement for the structure; indicating the engineers convinced the plaintiff to sign a document without knowing its contents, while the defendants signed an agreement with a company that was not classified, authorized or recognized by Kuwait Municipality

Attorney Hawara Al-Habib, lawyer for the accused, denied the allegations; pointing out there is no evidence that her clients committed forgery and fraud. She argued the testimonies of witnesses were inconsistent and full of contradictions. She also accused the prosecution of being biased, instead of staying on neutral grounds in dealing with the feuding parties. She alleged the plaintiff only planned to tarnish the image of her clients
