Kuwait - Police Arrest Major Robbers Gang


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Four Kuwaiti citizens and four Bedoun men were arrested for stealing vehicles from Shuwaikh Port, animals of rare breed, generators and buggies, and possessing drugs, says Al- Seyassah. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior, when the General Department for Criminal Evidences received information about the eight individuals involved in a number of theft cases, a team was formed for observing the suspects



After obtaining a warrant from the Public Prosecution, they arrested the first two suspects with whom they found drugs. Securitymen checked the camp where they hid some stolen items and found the third suspect in an intoxicated state. From the camp, securitymen confiscated large number of generators, buggies and expensive animals. After receiving information about a second camp, securitymen rushed to the location and arrested the remaining suspects. They confiscated narcotic pills and eight stolen vehicles from the camp. During interrogations, the suspects confessed that they had stolen the vehicles and other items, admitting that they used drugs



They explained that they stole the vehicles that arrived at Shuwaikh Port after completing the customs procedures and placed the number plates of other stolen vehicles on them. Securitymen also discovered that some of the suspects were wanted by law for certain legal cases. The suspects were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them
