The Costa Rican Judo Federation has officially announced that 16-year-old judoka Jimena Morales Gamboa will represent the nation in the -52 kg category at the upcoming Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Game.
Morales will compete in the world's premier youth sporting event, scheduled to take place in Dakar, Senegal. Her selection secures one of the highly competitive quotas allocated to Costa Rica for this global tournament, which brings together elite athletes aged 15 to 18 from across the globe.
