Gaza Health Ministry Reports New Casualties as Truce Violations Continue
(MENAFN) Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Monday that six Palestinians were killed and 40 others injured over the past 24 hours in ongoing Israeli attacks, amid what it described as continued violations of the ceasefire in place since October last year.
According to reports, the ministry stated that the latest fatalities have raised the overall death toll since October 2023 to 72,769, with 172,704 people reported injured.
No further details were provided regarding the circumstances of the latest deaths.
Medical sources, according to reports, said the casualties followed strikes in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, and Khan Younis in the south on Monday.
The Israeli military has reportedly continued operations in Gaza despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on Oct. 10, 2025.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 877 Palestinians have been killed and 2,602 injured since the ceasefire began.
The agreement was reached after two years of conflict that, according to reports, caused extensive destruction, affecting roughly 90% of civilian infrastructure in the territory.
