Prime Minister And Minister Of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call From Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister And Foreign Minister


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Al Safadi.

The call discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly those related to the ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the need to uphold it in a manner that contributes to strengthening security and stability.

During the call, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of all parties responding to ongoing mediation efforts, which would pave the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, leading to a sustainable agreement and preventing renewed escalation.

His Excellency also underscored the necessity of keeping maritime corridors open, ensuring freedom of navigation, and refraining from using them as tools of pressure or bargaining. In this context, His Excellency emphasized the negative repercussions such actions could have on countries in the region, as well as on global energy and food supplies, and their broader implications for international peace and security.
