(MENAFN- PRovoke) The 2026 Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards is now open for entries. The early deadline for both competitions is May 8, with a late deadline (additional fees required) of June 1.

A significant change this year involves PRovoke Media's plan for a new Australia and New Zealand SABRE Awards competition later in the year. While agencies in the Australia and New Zealand markets will be able to enter that competition later in 2026, all Australia and New Zealand entries from the Asia-Pacific competition will be automatically entered into the ANZ competition at no additional cost.

SYDNEY
Sydney Marketing Community (SMC), a new peer-led network for marketers in Sydney, has launched with strong early traction, responding to a growing gap in the profession as hybrid and remote work reduce opportunities for informal learning, collaboration and industry connection. Founded by Michael Apte, a senior marketing leader with nearly three decades of experience, including marketing leadership roles at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, Cochlear, Optus and Samsung, SMC was created to respond to that gap. Through his own career, Apte saw a growing need for more accessible industry networks and opportunities for practical experience sharing beyond formal workplace structures.

– Herd MSL Australia has partnered with search specialists from Publicis Groupe ANZ to launch Elevate, a new AI search visibility, authority and measurement service to help brands strengthen visibility, credibility and consideration. As AI search summaries increasingly shape how people discover, evaluate and choose brands, Elevate helps organisations address the complex challenge of how brands are framed, trusted and recommended across fragmented, AI‐powered search environments. SYDNEY – History Will Be Kind has been appointed as the retained PR agency across ANZ for global cleaning tech brand BISSELL Homecare. The team will be working with the brand to freshen up its approach to media and creative in line with its 150 year anniversary, it said on LinkedIn.
