Debaleena Chattopadhyay

Debaleena Chattopadhyay is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where she directs the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Lab. She holds a Ph.D. in HCI from Indiana University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, and has conducted research at Microsoft Research Cambridge. She believes good design creates better experiences that can ultimately change people's behavior. She studies Aging in the Age of AI. Her research is supported by multiple federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). She is a recipient of multiple teaching honors, including the UIC University-Level Teaching Recognition Award.
