Tonight: Launch of the Night Family Run at Aspire Zone Park 3×3 Basketball Champions Crowned at the Ramadan Sports Festival 2026

On another vibrant Ramadan evening filled with enthusiasm, the 12th edition of the Ramadan Sports Festival 2026 continues to shine, with 25 February standing out as one of its most diverse days. Organized under the umbrella of Aspire Zone Foundation, the festival has successfully transformed the holy month into a dynamic space for sport and community engagement.
Today’s program combines official competition with a family-oriented atmosphere. The Corporate Football Championship kicks off at Pitch No. (5), launching a new chapter of competition among various institutions in a spirit of ambition and teamwork.
Meanwhile, the “Embassies” Football Championship continues, as teams enter more decisive stages in the race for qualification, drawing growing crowds that reflect the tournament’s increasing prominence within the festival calendar.
At the Women’s Sports Hall, the Women’s Basketball Championship concludes today, showcasing rising technical standards and highlighting the expanding participation of women in indoor sports competitions.
Beyond traditional venues, Aspire Park will transform into an open sporting arena as it hosts the Night Family Run at 9:00 PM in cooperation with the Qatar Sports for All Federation. Families and children will gather in an event that promotes sport as a lifestyle and celebrates community participation at its finest.
The Corporate Football Championship will run from 25 February to 5 March at Pitch No. (5).

Qatar Rail Crowned 3×3 Basketball Champions
The Men’s 3×3 Basketball Championship concluded at the Women’s Sports Hall, organized in cooperation with the Qatar Basketball Federation. Qatar Rail claimed the title, followed by PWA AA-2 in second place and PWA AA-3 in third. Seib of Qatar Rail was awarded Best Player of the tournament.
Eight teams participated, divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.
Group One included Qatar Rail, RMC–PWA, PWA AA-2, and DNOM–TSE. Group Two featured PWA AA-3, DNOM–PWA, QSD, and F Basketball.
In a celebratory atmosphere, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahad Al Thani, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Fahad Ahmed Al-Mannai, Communications Director at Aspire Zone Foundation, and Mr. Idris Mohammed Al-Sharshani, Events Director, presented awards to the winners.

Intense Action in the “Embassies” Championship
The “Embassies” Football Championship continues to deliver excitement at Pitch No. (4) from 22 February to 6 March, with 24 teams representing various communities and embassies, divided into eight groups of three teams each. The top two teams from each group advance to the Round of 16.
In the second round, Algeria defeated Finland 3–0 to top Group Four with three points, leaving Finland without points. Ghana secured a valuable 3–2 win over Syria to lead Group Five, while Togo claimed a 3–0 victory over Russia to top Group Six.
Key Matches on Day Four
Excitement continues on Day Four with three crucial fixtures shaping qualification outcomes. At 9:00 PM, South Africa faces Oman in Group Two. At 10:00 PM, Chad meets Mali in an all-African clash in Group Three. The day concludes at 11:00 PM with Finland taking on India in Group Four.
The preliminary stage runs until 1 March, followed by the Round of 16 on 2–3 March, quarterfinals on 4 March, semifinals on 5 March, and the final on 6 March in a highly anticipated Ramadan showdown.
The Sponsors Championship Kicks Off
The Aspire Sponsors Football Championship 2025 kicks off today and will run from 25 February to 5 March at Pitch No. 5.
The tournament features the participation of six teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Al Waha, Ashghal, and Hattrick Academy, while Group B includes Ashghal 1, Qatar Primary Materials Company, and Expert Event.
The preliminary round begins with a match between Al Waha and Ashghal at 9:30 PM as part of Group A, followed by a match between Ashghal 1 and Qatar Primary Materials Company at 10:30 PM in Group B.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for 3 March, with the winners progressing to the final on 5 March.

Strong Start to the Men’s Hockey Championship
The opening day of the Men’s Hockey Championship, held on the five-a-side pitches from 23 to 26 February, delivered thrilling, high-scoring encounters that reflected the intense level of competition.
Lions began with a 5–3 victory over Al Sadd. The Malaysian Club delivered a dominant attacking display with a 12–4 win over Al Muttahid, one of the highest-scoring matches of the day. Lusail secured an emphatic 11–1 win over Falcon, sending an early message of title ambition.
Mesaieed edged BHA Club 7–6 in a tightly contested match, while Al Sadd and Motom played out a thrilling 6–6 draw. The Malaysian Club continued its strong form with an 8–4 win over Qatar Club. The day concluded with a dramatic encounter between Lusail and Lions, ending 9–8 in favor of Lusail after a marathon battle.
With these results, an action-packed opening day came to a close, setting the stage for continued competition in the days ahead.

On the Starting Line
The Women’s Hockey Championship will take place from 28 February to 2 March on the five-a-side pitches.
Youth Basketball competitions will be held on 26 February at the Women’s Sports Hall, while swimming competitions are scheduled for 26 February at the Hamad Aquatic Centre.
Beach Volleyball will take place on 27–28 February at the sand courts of the Academy fields, and the Padel Championship will run from 28 February to 2 March at Padel In courts.
The festival will conclude with the Women’s Futsal Championship from 4–6 March at the Women’s Sports Hall, alongside the Women’s Telematch competition on 4 March, wrapping up a vibrant and diverse Ramadan sporting celebration.
