J & K Budget To Be Tabled In Assembly On Feb 6


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is set to present the Union Territory's second budget on February 6, 2025, outlining key priorities for development, infrastructure, and governance in the upcoming financial year.

According to the tentative calendar issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the session will begin on February 2 with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha's address to the House, which will be his third since the formation of the elected government in October 2024.

After LG's address, the Assembly Secretariat has reserved three days for discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the LG's address, scheduled for February 3, 4 and 5, with the Chief Minister replying to the debate on February 05.

The annual financial statement for 2026-27 and supplementary statement of expenditure for 2025-26 will be presented in the House on February 06.

The general budget discussion will take place on February 7, 9 and 10, followed by the Finance Minister's reply.
