Israel Reports Death of Four Soldiers in Southern Lebanon

(MENAFN) The Israeli army said on Tuesday that four of its soldiers were killed during fighting in southern Lebanon, according to reports.

The fatalities come amid ongoing hostilities following a cross-border attack launched by Hezbollah on March 2, which prompted Israel to intensify its military campaign. Since then, Israeli forces have carried out extensive airstrikes and initiated ground operations in southern Lebanon.

According to Lebanese officials, the escalation has resulted in at least 1,247 deaths and 3,690 injuries due to Israeli attacks.

The situation is unfolding alongside a broader regional conflict, as the United States and Israel continue a joint military offensive against Iran that began on Feb. 28, which has reportedly caused more than 1,340 deaths.

In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as US military positions in Gulf countries.
