J&K Govt Expands Task Force On Rehabilitation Of Drug Abuse Victims


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday expanded the Task Force constituted for the rehabilitation of drug abuse victims by including two additional senior officials, according to an official order issued by the General Administration Department.

As per government order, the Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, and the Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, have been inducted as members of the task force.

The order has been issued as a partial modification of Government Order No. 1515-JK (GAD) of 2025 dated November 25, 2025, under which the task force was originally constituted.

Officials said the inclusion of the two departments is aimed at strengthening the government's coordinated response to the growing challenge of drug abuse, particularly in rural areas and in the context of treatment, rehabilitation, and community-based intervention.
