Maureen Amimo is an Andrew Mellon African Urbanities Postdoctoral scholar at Makerere University in Uganda. She also teaches African Literature at Maasai Mara University in Kenya. She holds a PhD in English from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. She has published on African travel writing, urban literatures and cultural studies. Her current research explores the nocturnal African city through the ritual of night running.
