Azerbaijan, Iran presidents discuss cooperation in phone call
(MENAFN) Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev spoke by phone Tuesday with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss cooperation and upcoming high-level engagements.
“The parties exchanged views on contacts planned for 2026 and the future development of Azerbaijan-Iran friendly relations,” the Azerbaijani presidency said, noting that Pezeshkian also extended birthday congratulations to Aliyev.
During the call, Pezeshkian recalled his past visits to Azerbaijan and previous discussions with Aliyev, while the Azerbaijani president thanked him for the attention and conveyed appreciation for the good wishes regarding his health and presidential work.
