What Is Not Mine Wins Top Award At Kuwait Theater Festival

KUWAIT, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- The play "What Is Not Mine," by the Gulf Arab Theater Troupe, won Best Integrated Theatrical Performance at the closing of the 25th Kuwait Theater Festival on Thursday at Dasma Theater.
The production also received awards for Best Direction, Best Leading Actor, Best Decor, and Best Sound Effects.
The Arena Company's play Hosh Atwan won three awards, including Best Costumes, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Leading Actress.
At the same time, they and Their Remnants by the Kuwait Theater Troupe won Best Lighting, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Playwriting.
Festival jury chairman Dr. Ali Haidar said the evaluations were based on artistic criteria, including script quality, direction, acting, and scenography.
Jury member Dr. Hisham Zein Al-Din emphasized the need for safe performance environments and reducing dependence on artificial intelligence in theater production.
Six troupes competed in the festival, organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) under the patronage of Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. (end)
