A highlight of the memorial service was an emotionally powerful address delivered by international recording artist and fashion icon Aaron Paul, who spoke not only as a performer, but as a personal friend of Sir Michael.

In his speech, Aaron Paul reflected on meeting Sir Michael during a benefit gala at a pivotal time in New York City's history, when violence against the Asian community was rapidly increasing. Inspired by these events, Aaron shared that he wrote and performed a song titled "Asian Hate," with the music produced by Master Tyrone Bullock and Jocelyn Nguyen, as a powerful call for unity and healing.

"He welcomed me not as a celebrity, but as a friend," Aaron shared.

He also spoke about being invited by Sir Michael to perform at the NYPD Veterans Gala-an honor that deepened his commitment to humanitarian work and strengthened his lifelong bond with the organizations Sir Michael loved most. Aaron further acknowledged using his public platform and media influence to amplify awareness of Sir Michael Leung's philanthropic leadership and the work of the NYPD Veterans community.

Sir Michael Leung was widely recognized for his more than 4,000 hours of voluntary service and was honored with the President's Call to Service Award, along with countless citations from federal, state, and municipal leaders. For more than a decade, he served as President of the Lions Club and served as a mentor, advisor, and global ambassador for numerous international institutions.

His legacy now lives on through the foundations he built, the communities he lifted, and the people whose lives he transformed.
