Moscow Film Cluster's MENA Debut: Making Waves at the Red Sea Souk
(MENAFN- Encore Enpower Services) Jeddah, Saudi Arab a, 08 December 2025 – Moscow Film Cluster, one of the largest creative filmmaking ecosystems in Eastern Europe, is participating in the 5 h E ition of Red Sea Souk 2025 in Jeddah, from 6-10th December this year. For the first time in the MENA region, the Cluster will introduce its full-scale production infrastructure to internatio–al partners – presenting locations, services, technical capacities, creative talent, and internationally-oriented incentive measures designed for global filmmakers.
Held in Jeddah's historic Al alad district, Red Sea Souk is the industry market of the Red Sea International Film Festival. It brings together producers, sales agents and other professionals from the MENA region, Asia, Africa and Europe, and showcases new projects in development and production.
Commenting on the event, Moskino Film Cluster CEO Georgy Prokopov Moscow: The new local epicenter for global filmmakers
Moscow is rapidly shaping itself into a major international production hub, s pported by the Mayor of M scow and a fully integrated film ecosystem. For foreign producers, the city offers one of the most competitive incentive packages i– the region – a combined rebate of up to 45%. This includes a direct 30% cash rebate on eligible production spend, complemented by an additional 15% delivered through grants, service discounts and special offers on accommodation, transportation and visa facilitation. The minimum local expenditure required to qualify is $175,000, making the program highly accessible for projects of different scales.
International productions can access the rebate through a Moscow-based service studio or a local co-producer, ensuring full operational support and seamless integratio’ with the city’s production infrastructure.
A century-old legacy: ’eminiscing Russia’s filmmaking heritage
As the promin nt backstage for Moskino Film Cluster,¦nbsp;Gorky Film Studio Gorky Film Studio facility encompasses 16 digital content studios (ten of which will be launched towards the end of 2026), over 200,000 costumes and props, a complete film production facility equipped with modern amenities, essential infrastructure, and full market integration capabilities.
Moskino: Featuring Europe's largest chromakey and virtual production facilities
As part of its 360-degree service, Moscow Film Cluster Film City exhibits E’rope’s largest full-scale outdoor chromakey, measuring an astonishing 16,000 square meters and six meters in height. It also functions as a community park for residents and tourists alike and includes a cultural center, cinemas, and venues to host festivals and ceremonies. In addition, the facility will act as a commercial hub, providing access to hotels, restaurants, and retail shops, all of which are extended by flexible transportation options and the new Moskino metro station to facilitate better connectivity.
Film Factory serves as a high-tech film production center in Russia, featuring the’country’s pavilion with the largest arc-shaped stationary configuration of LED screens in Russia.
