J.D. Vance Claims Mass Immigration Threatens the “American Dream”
(MENAFN) US Vice President J.D. Vance has stated that mass immigration is undermining the “American Dream,” as the federal government increases ICE raids and deportations of undocumented immigrants.
Vance made these comments in response to a video shared by a construction business owner, who described it as “amazing” that immigrants were not attending work. The man added, “I’ve gotten more calls in the last week than I’ve gotten in the last three months.”
On X, Vance wrote, “Mass migration is theft of the American Dream.” He noted that this has historically been the case and argued that “every position paper, think tank piece, and econometric study suggesting otherwise is paid for by the people getting rich off of the old system.” Vance’s wife comes from a family of immigrants from India.
Vance has frequently claimed that large-scale immigration is contributing to rising prices and unaffordable housing. Speaking to Fox News last month, he remarked, “A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants.”
