Rs. 250 Million Gifted By Bandaranaike Foundation For National Rebuilding


(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) The Bandaranaike Memorial National Foundation has contributed Rs. 250 million to the Government to support the country's rebuilding efforts following the emergency situation caused by Cyclone Ditwah. The donation was presented to Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on 8 December at the Prime Minister's Office.

The donation was handed over by the Foundation's Chairperson, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, who was accompanied by members of the Board of Directors. A cordial discussion later took place between former President Kumaratunga and the Prime Minister, focusing on ongoing recovery work and national reconstruction priorities.

The event was attended by Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthri, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, and representatives of the Foundation's Board of Directors.
