Srinagar- A 25-year-old woman from Anantnag died under mysterious circumstances last night, with her family accusing doctors at the Maternity and Child Care Hospital (MCCH) Anantnag of medical negligence.
The family has sought a high-level investigation and stringent action against those responsible.
Family members said that the woman, Khusboo, a resident of Pushwara area of Anantnag, underwent a C-section surgery on Saturday evening. However, soon after the procedure, her condition started deteriorating rapidly.
ADVERTISEMENT“We were told the delivery went fine, but within a short time, we saw her health collapsing,” said a relative of the deceased.“Doctors later told us she needed another surgery to remove her uterus. We believe they only said this because they had failed to control her bleeding.”
The family claims that the decision to remove her uterus was taken hastily and without proper explanation. They allege that despite the procedure, her condition continued to worsen, reported news agency KNO.
