Shura Council Speaker Meets Paraguayan Parliamentarians

Doha, Qatar: Speaker of the Shura Council, HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, met on Monday with member of the Senate of the Republic of ParaguayHE Eduardo Nakayama, and member of the Foreign Affairs and International Relations Committee, and member of the Senate, HE Enrique Salyn Buzarquis, who are visiting the State of Qatar.

Discussions during the meeting covered on a range of subjects pertaining to advancing parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Senate of Paraguay.

They likewise deliberated on areas of exchanging legislative expertise and bolstering bilateral communication channels, thereby contributing to the strengthening of relations between the two countries.

Both sides further discussed avenues for coordinating positions in international parliamentary forums, as well as subjects of shared interest as part of parliamentary ties with the Latin American countries.

Chairman of the Internal and External Affairs Committee, HE Yousef bin Ali Al Khater, Chairman of the Qatari-Paraguayan Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Council, HE Abdullah bin Jaber Al Libda, and Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay to the State of Qatar, HE Jose Rafael Aguero Avila, attended the meeting.
