Ministry Fixes December Barley Prices For Livestock Producers, Importing Firms

Amman, Dec. 8 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply announced that barley prices for December will remain unchanged, holding at the same level set in September. The rate, which applies to breeders of cattle, poultry, camels, and horses, as well as companies importing live livestock, stands at JD 245 per ton, including sales tax.
Subsidized barley for sheep farmers will also stay at its current price of JD 175 per ton, based on data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Under Decision No. 129 for the year 2025, subsidized bran for sheep breeders will continue to be sold at JD 77 per ton, while the price for other livestock producers, such as cattle, poultry, camels, and horses, remains at JD 157 per ton, tax included.
Additionally, in line with Decision No. 72 of 2025, the ministry will continue collecting a fixed fee of JD 1,450 for each vehicle exporting live local sheep, in accordance with Article 6(b) of the Import and Export Law No. 21 of 2001.
