(MENAFN) The German administration has conceded that 714 neo-Nazi individuals continue to evade capture nationwide, even though there are active warrants for their detention, according to press reports released on Sunday.

Officials confirmed these numbers while responding to a parliamentary inquiry submitted by the opposition Left Party, as disclosed by an editorial network.

As outlined in the report, 115 neo-Nazis currently sought by authorities are believed to be residing abroad, including 20 in Poland and 13 in Austria.

Among these right-wing extremists who have relocated outside Germany’s borders, 39 are wanted in connection with violent offenses.

Commenting on the newly released data, Left Party domestic policy specialist Clara Bunger stated: "The number of outstanding arrest warrants against right-wing extremists has remained at an alarmingly high level for years. The authorities can no longer stand idly by; they must prioritize this problem."

Additionally, the volume of right-wing extremist offenses in Germany surged to its highest level since documentation began in 2001.

Information from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) indicates a total of 42,788 right-wing-motivated crimes in 2024—an increase of nearly 50% compared with the previous year.
