Josh Kesselman, RAW(R) Founder, Announces Javier Hasse's Appointment As High Times Editor-In-Chief

Josh Kesselman announced the appointment of Javier Hasse as the new Editor-in-Chief for High Times magazine.
"This isn't about profits; it's about giving back to the community that raised me and cutting through the controversy to share the truth about this plant. Together we will expand human consciousness, and Javier Hasse is the perfect person to carry this legacy forward," Kesselman stated.
"High Times helped build this culture. My promise is radical honesty: rigorous reporting, global perspectives, and zero tolerance for spin," Hasse said. "We'll celebrate the wins, confront the harms, and make room for voices the headlines miss."

Javier Hasse was named Emjays International Cannabis Awards Journalist of the Year in 2024.
When Kesselman acquired High Times and all its related assets in 2025, he vowed to usher the magazine into a new era. The appointment of Hasse demonstrates a keen understanding of what the cannabis community is looking for in their journalism: honesty, creativity, and the courage to address controversy directly.
Founded in 1974, High Times is the world's leading voice in cannabis culture, psychedelics, advocacy and industry insight. As a true legacy publication and counterculture icon, High Times is rooted in providing platforms for information, inspiration and community in the evolving cannabis and psychedelics landscape.
The limited-run 50th Anniversary Issue is available (only while supplies last), online, at select retailers, dispensaries and via subscription at hightimes.
