Israeli Extremists Breach Jerusalem Mosque, Army Arrests 14 Palestinians In West Bank
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Occupied Jerusalem, Nov 3 (Petra) – Dozens of right-wing Israelis and settlers Monday stormed into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound/ Haram al-Sharif, on Monday, under heavy escort by Israeli occupation police.
Dozens of hardliners made their way into the compound through Bab Al Magharebah Gate, and in a provocation, toured the plaza and performed prayers in its eastern part, said the Islamic Waqf (endowments) Department in occupied Jerusalem, the custodian of the complex, one of Islam's holiest shrines.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli troops raided several towns and villages in a search-and-arrest campaign targeting academics, women, and young men, and arrested 14 "wanted" people, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said in a press release.
Israeli forces also demolished a home in the al-Walajeh village, west of Bethlehem, and two agricultural rooms and two water wells in the village of Wadi Rahal, southeast of the city, local residents said.
