PM Svyrydenko Announces Start Of Heating Season In Ukraine
“More than 55 percent of social facilities, including kindergartens, hospitals, and schools, have already been connected to heating. In 13 regions, heating is also being partially supplied to residential buildings. Other regions will continue connecting facilities gradually, depending on weather conditions. Local authorities make the decision to begin heating based on temperature levels,” Svyrydenko stated.
She noted that Russia continues systematic and deliberate attacks on Ukraine's energy and heating infrastructure. Nevertheless, the technical readiness of utilities and the coordinated work of relevant government agencies make it possible to launch the heating season.
