Türkiye Stocks Open Higher
(MENAFN) Türkiye's primary stock index began trading on Thursday at 10,907.44 points, marking an increase of 0.33%, or 36.37 points, compared with the previous session's close on Tuesday.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index did not operate on Wednesday in observance of the Republic Day holiday.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 saw a modest gain of 0.16%, finishing at 10,871.08 points, with the total daily trading volume reaching 49.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.17 billion).
By 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 41.9650 liras per US dollar, 48.8790 per euro, and 55.5360 per British pound.
Meanwhile, gold prices stood at $3,967.90 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was trading at $63.95 per barrel.
