(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
KUWAIT, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- In a move reaffirming its commitment to youth development and education, the Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) has announced the launch of the "PIC Future Leaders Academy," one of its flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The program aims to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities needed to become the innovators and decision-makers of tomorrow. It builds on PIC's long-standing legacy of community engagement and sustainable development, reflecting the company's dedication to investing in Kuwait's human capital.
The inaugural edition of the Academy targets students from Kuwait Technical College (KTech), Kuwait University, and the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST). It features a comprehensive curriculum comprising workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions led by senior figures from Kuwait's petrochemical sector.
Through these activities, participants will gain deeper insight into PIC's operations and the wider petrochemical industry, while developing essential workplace and leadership skills. The program will conclude with a site visit to PIC's industrial facilities, giving students hands-on exposure to modern technologies and real-world work environments.
According to PIC, the Future Leaders Academy provides students with practical experience, direct engagement with industry professionals, and a clearer understanding of the competencies needed to succeed in the job market. It also serves as a platform for dialogue and mentorship, encouraging creativity, initiative, and excellence among young people.
Over the years, PIC has launched numerous youth empowerment programs in collaboration with educational institutions, offering training and internship opportunities that expose students to real-life industrial settings in engineering, chemistry, management, and petrochemical manufacturing technologies.
By introducing the Future Leaders Academy, PIC continues to invest in nurturing the next generation of leaders, fostering inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability in line with Kuwait's national development goals. (end)
