Face Life With Optimism: Discover How Positive Psychology Can Help You Reduce Stress
In recent years, there has been a notable increase in disorders affecting mental health, with stress being one of the most concerning. According to data from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), this problem affects women aged 20 to 44 the most.
Until July 4 of this year, the CCSS reported 46,016 consultations for disorders of this type, of which 34,275 were for women. Additionally, hospitalizations have increased significantly, with 557 cases recorded in the same period, predominantly affecting the female population. This increase is attributed to a combination of biological, social, psychological factors, and a fast-paced lifestyle, exacerbated by the advancement of technology.
In this context, cultivating a positive psychology becomes essential for managing stress and promoting overall well-being. However, not everyone has a natural predisposition towards optimism; it is necessary to train this skill and turn it into a habit that overcomes pessimism.
But how to achieve it?Positive psychology focuses on the study of experiences and traits that enrich people's lives. Through the exploration of strength, virtues, motivations, and individual capabilities, this discipline aims to improve quality of life and promote personal development.
Tools for Positive PsychologyOn November 6th, for the first time, MentesExpertas will present a series of tools based on this modality at the CIC ANDE-Belén. These strategies will help attendees face the various situations in life with an optimistic attitude, enhancing their overall well-being.
During the night, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a self-reflection exercise that will allow them to assess how they are living their lives and discover ways to improve their attitude. Practical and entertaining tips will be offered on how to take care of mental health.
