EHA, Arab Hospitals Federation Discuss Cooperation On AI, Sustainable Healthcare
El-Sobky said that the partnership between the Authority and AHF reflects the spirit of Arab cooperation in advancing healthcare systems, commending the federation's ongoing efforts in promoting quality improvement, patient safety, and capacity building across the region.
He revealed that discussions are underway to establish a unified regional framework for assessing healthcare facility performance, based in Sharm El-Sheikh, which would serve as a hub for Arab-African integration and knowledge exchange. Both sides also examined plans to create a Regional Center of Excellence focused on quality, patient safety, digital transformation, leadership, and innovation.
El-Sobky highlighted Egypt's strong institutional capacity, which enables it to play a leading role in regional healthcare transformation. He also expressed appreciation to the AHF for recognising the Authority's achievements with several prestigious awards in quality, governance, sustainability, and medical tourism.
For his part, Fadi Allam praised the Authority's success in implementing Egypt's Universal Health Insurance System, describing it as a regional model for health reform and innovation. He also expressed interest in expanding cooperation through joint research programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Healthcare Authority, including Hany Rashid, Amir El-Talawany, Magdy Bakr, Ahmed Hammad, Reham El-Shenawy, and Shady Farhat.
