
Afghan Kurash Team Departs For Bahrain Youth Games
KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Afghan Kurash athletes and their coach departed for Bahrain on Thursday to represent the country, the Afghanistan Kurash, Sambo and Wrestling Federation announced.
Sayed Mahmood Zia Dashti, head of the federation, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Sayed Bais Farzad will accompany the two athletes as their coach.
He added that the 3rd Asian Youth Games will be held in Bahrain from October 19 to 31, featuring competitions in 27 sports disciplines.
Dashti confirmed that Rohullah Nazari will compete in the 83-kilogram category, while Mohammadi Yahya Mohammadi will compete in the 65-kilogram category. He also noted that the Kurash team is the first Afghan team to depart for these games.
