Rape Accused in J&K Held after Evading Arrest for Almost 30 Years
Jammu- An accused in a rape and kidnapping case who was absconding for nearly 30 years was arrested in the Jhajjar Kotli area of Jammu district, officials said.
The case was registered against Abdul Hameed, a resident of Khadwani Harpora in Anantnag, in 1996, they added.
Police said acting on a tip-off, a team apprehended Hameed and a warrant was issued under Section 512 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
