(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 15 (KUNA) -- The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and the Head of the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Blind Association Fayez Al-Azmi and the board members.
Sheikh Hamad affirmed the wise political leadership's commitment to supporting people with disabilities, removing any obstacles they may face, and harnessing all available resources to ensure their empowerment and full integration into society.
He also congratulated the Kuwait Blind Association on assuming the presidency of the Asian Blind Federation and obtaining membership in the Council of the World Blind Union, expressing his pride in this achievement, which enhances Kuwait's standing in regional and international forums.
Sheikh Hamad and Sheikh Thamer praised the pioneering role played by the Association since its establishment in serving its members and providing them with comfort and empowerment, enhancing their active participation in society. (end)
