(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) – A performance evaluation report on the government of Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, prepared by the Al Hayat Centre-Rased, showed a rise in parliamentary and party satisfaction with the government's performance in managing foreign relations and diplomacy.
The report indicated that 86.4 percent of Members of Parliament expressed satisfaction with the government's handling of this portfolio, while 74.3 percent of political parties shared that view.
Rased had announced the results of its annual report evaluating the government's performance, which included an analysis of Cabinet decisions made over the past year, as well as an assessment of economic measures, appointments, and the Prime Minister's field visits.
The report also included a survey of MPs' opinions on the government's performance after its first year in office. Direct questions were sent to MPs about various policy areas, and 96 percent of them responded.
Similarly, all Jordanian political parties participated in a parallel survey on the government's performance.
According to the findings, the Prime Minister conducted 33 field visits during the year, covering 114 locations across 32 districts, three subdistricts, and 43 municipalities.
The health sector topped the list with 29 visits, including 17 to health centers and 12 to hospitals, followed by 24 school visits in the education sector. The agriculture, industry, and vocational training sector ranked next with 22 facilities, while 21 visits were made to social care and local service institutions, 11 to youth centers and clubs, and seven to tourist and archaeological sites across various governorates.
The report showed that the government issued 771 decisions during its first year in office. Of these, 212 were economic decisions directly linked to the Economic Modernization Vision.
It also noted that the government approved 25 decisions settling 12,240 tax and sales disputes involving individuals and companies with the Income and Sales Tax Department and appointed 42 senior officials through 30 appointment decisions during the same period.
Further analysis revealed that economic decisions accounted for 212 measures, with the majority focused on investment, representing 32.8 percent of all decisions. The future services sector came second with 20.1 percent, followed by sustainable resources at 18.8 percent and "Jordan as a Global Destination" at 11.9 percent.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurship and innovation accounted for 4.1 percent, quality of life for 5.9 percent, and both sustainable environment and high-value industries for 3.2 percent each reflecting a balanced approach linking sustainable economic growth with quality-of-life improvement and sectoral competitiveness.
