Iran Hands Down Prison Sentences To French Nationals


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14.​ A court in Tehran, Iran, has sentenced two French citizens to long-term imprisonment on charges of espionage, Trend reports.

The court charged French citizens Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris with spying for France and Israel.

According to the decision, one French citizen was sentenced to 31 years in prison, and the other to 32 years.

The decision can be appealed within 20 days.
