(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 14 (KUNA) - President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Dr. Essam Al-Rubaian affirmed Monday that the 23rd meeting of directors of public administration institutes in GCC countries reflects cooperation and integration in administrative development and human capital building.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting held in Kuwait, Dr. Al-Rubaian stressed the importance of investing in human capital, innovation, and continuous learning to keep pace with rapid changes in government work environments.
He said the meeting serves as a platform to exchange expertise, develop training programs, and enhance coordination on Gulf-level initiatives and policies.
GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Sunaidi extended his gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for Kuwait's support of joint Gulf efforts.
Al-Sunaidi emphasized the key role of public administration institutes in shaping competent government leadership, fostering institutional capacity, and advancing administrative reform and digital transformation.
He noted that all GCC states were ranked in the "very high human development" category in the 2025 UNDP Human Development Report, reflecting the positive impact of training programs and institutional initiatives.
The meeting also reviewed the updated strategic plan for 2026-2030, discussed knowledge-sharing initiatives, and approved the launch of the second edition of the "Future of Work in Government" program, developed by the Omani Royal Academy of Management. (end)
