Russian Strikes On Kharkiv And Kupiansk Leave 62 Injured, Damage Hospital, Dormitory, Power Lines


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported on Telegram by Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

“Throughout the past day, the city of Kharkiv and eight settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire. As a result of the attacks, 62 people were injured,” Syniehubov said.

According to him, in Kharkiv, the injured include men aged 79 and 68, and women aged 75, 73, 44, 69, and 74. Additionally, 50 hospital patients suffered acute stress reactions. In Kupiansk, the injured include women aged 78, 58, and 71, and men aged 57 and 72.

Russian forces attacked Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district with drones and struck the Saltivskyi district with two guided aerial bombs (GABs).

The regional governor noted that electricity supply to all consumers in the city had been restored after the attack.

Syniehubov added that Russian troops also attacked other settlements in the region with various types of weapons, including two GABs, 17 Geran-2 drones, and four FPV drones.

As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure was damaged or destroyed.

In Kharkiv, the following were damaged: a dormitory, an industrial enterprise, an educational institution, a hospital building, a utility structure, two non-residential buildings, power networks, and 24 vehicles.

In Kupiansk district, a car (in the village of Blahodativka), a private house (Kupiansk), two private houses and two farm buildings (Velykyi Burluk) were damaged.

In Kharkiv district, a private house was damaged in Kozacha Lopan.

A transit evacuation center in Lozova received 65 people over the past day; 43 remain there. Since its opening, the center has registered 7,361 people.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on October 12, a woman was killed and four others were injured as a result of Russian shelling in Kharkiv region.
