Kuwait To Host XCAT Powerboating World Championship Second Round In Nov.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) has approved Kuwait's hosting of the second round of the 2025 Powerboat World Championship, XCAT class, to be organized by Kuwait Sea Sport Club (KSSC) on November 20-22, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Sport.
The contract was signed on the sidelines of the UIM general assembly meeting held on Saturday in China's Shanghai.
The signing included UIM president Raffaele Chiulli and Secretary General Thomas Kurth, and KSSC secretary Khaled Al-Fodary, along XCAT Sports Director Sebastiano Pellecchia and others.
In a press release following signing the deal, Al-Fodary said this event is an international accomplishment to navy sports in Kuwait generally and powerboat particularly.
Ali Al-Shamaly, a KSSC official, said the club has high potential to successfully organize international championships. (end)
