Future Of Kabul-New Delhi Ties Seems 'Very Promising': Muttaqi
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi says the future of Kabul and New Delhi ties seems 'very promising'.
He said this during a visit to Darul Uloom Deoband during his trip to India, ANI News reported.
Muttaqi said:“The journey has been very good so far. Not just the people of Darul Uloom, but all people of the area have come here. I am grateful to them for the warm welcome they extended to me.”
He added the future of India-Afghanistan relations looked 'very bright'.
Muttaqi travelled to India on Wednesday, the first high-level engagement between the two countries after the Islamic Emirate surged to power in 2021.
During a meeting with India's Minister of External Affairs, Muttaqi said Kabul seeks ties based on mutual respect, trade, people to people, political and economic cooperation with New Delhi.
