Austria Urges Serious Negotiations Following Russia's Fresh Attacks On Ukraine

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger called on Russia on Saturday to get engaged into serious peace negotiations after the latter's intensive assaults launched last night on Ukraine's civil energy infrastructure.
Tweeting on "X", the minister said the war in Europe is still igniting and Russia again targeted civil energy supply in Ukraine in a wide scale, in a clear attempt to destroy Ukrainian people's spirit before winter.
These strikes require intensifying diplomatic efforts, she noted.
The step came while some European countries call for balancing between backing Ukraine and pursuing efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza. (end)
