Lebanon Condemns Israeli Occupation Airstrike

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation's overnight airstrikes on southern Lebanon, which killed one person and injured seven others.
In a press release, the ministry denounced the recent airstrikes as an aggression that breaks United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701 and relevant ceasefire agreements that were reached in November.
It warned that such aggressions block national efforts exerted by the Lebanese army to implement its disarmament plan and to maintain southern security and stability.
Earlier in the day, Lebanon's Public Health Ministry said that one was killed and seven others wounded in an Israeli occupation airstrike in southern Lebanon. (end)
