Ukraine's First Lady, Princess Anne Honor Child War Victims
"Yesterday, together with Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and with Daria Herasymchuk, the Presidential Advisor and Commissioner for Children's Rights, we came to the 'Martyrology' – a place of remembrance for Ukrainian children killed by Russia," she said.

She noted that Russian invaders have already taken the lives of 657 children in Ukraine. "We remember and mourn every child lost. And we will never forgive a single one," Zelenska said.
She recalled that in the past three days alone, Russian aggression has claimed the lives of three more children.
"Twelve-year-old Oleksandra, a 7th grade student, was killed by Russia three days ago, on Sunday, right inside her home, in her room, during a morning strike on Kyiv. And yesterday in the Sumy region, Russian terrorists killed two brothers – four-year-old Denys and six-year-old Yehor –together with their pregnant mother and father, in a direct drone strike," she said.

The First Lady and Princess Anne also visited the Child Rights Protection Center, where they spoke with children rescued from the occupied territories.
"Together with Her Royal Highness Princess Anne and Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, we are visiting the Child Rights Protection Center and meeting with children who have returned, including Sashko, Valeriia, and Marta," Zelenska said.
According to her, these young people are among the children abducted by Russia and among the 1,645 who have so far been brought back.
"Twelve-year-old Sashko survived the destruction of Mariupol, a shrapnel wound to his eye (sustained while running to save his little sister), captivity in Russia, and separation from his mother who remains in captivity. By miracle, he managed to call his grandmother, who traveled thousands of kilometers to rescue her grandson," Zelenska said.

"Forty-two countries, the Council of Europe, and the European Union are working together in the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. The United Kingdom is one of the most active participants in the coalition and in the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, which unites international experts to develop mechanisms for their return," Zelenska said.
As reported earlier, Princess Anne paid a surprise visit to Ukraine, where she met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
