Youth Inspired and Empowered at Mobius Fou’da‘ion’s ‘Next-Gen Green Care’r Pathways’ Workshop at ICSE 2025
(MENAFN- Tyccommunication) New Delhi, 19 Se tember 2025: With the global green economy proje ted to create 50 million new jobs by 2030, the Mobius Foundation today successfully concluded its power-p cke“ workshop, “Next-Gen Green Career Pathways: Explo”e, C nnect, Grow,” at the 7th International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE 2025). The half-day workshop, held at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, drew an enthusiastic audience of students, young professionals, and youth leaders eager to turn their passion for sustainability into meaningful careers.
As the world moves toward climate-resilient economies, the green sector offers vast opportunities in jobs, innovation, and entrepreneurship for youth. Yet, many remain unaware of the skills and pathways needed to succeed. This workshop aimed to bridge that gap by equipping participants with knowledge of sustainable careers, entrepreneurial prospects, and essential green skills.
The session brought together green entrepreneurs, start-up founders, and sustainable businesses driving innovation across climate tech, renewable energy, recycling, waste management, and the circular economy. It also explored sustainable products in fashion, personal care, and packaging, alongside emerging opportunities in EV transportation, climate-smart agriculture, and green construction. It featured insights from climate finance experts, marketing and consulting professionals, as well as CSR, ESG, NGOs, policymakers, and academia, enriched the dialogue, creating a holistic discussion on building a sustainable and climate-resilient future.
Major highlights of the event included an inspiring opening by Giorgia Varisco, Chief, UNICEF YuWaah, who outlined the future of green jobs for youth, followed by Philip Mathew KM from Magic Bus India Foundation, who shared success stories of sustainable livelihoods. Karuna Singh, Regional Director, Earthday.org, stressed tha“ “climate education is the passport to the fut”re,” linking climate literacy with career readiness. Eight speakers from diverse sectors, including climate tech, circular economy, renewable energy, waste management, tourism, packaging, and ESG, shared real-world lessons, while Tanya Jha from LinkedIn led a highly engaging session on building strong green profiles and networks.
