Flour Factory Worth $3000,000 Inaugurated In Farah

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): A privately-owned flour production factory, established with a $300,000 investment, was officially inaugurated and began operations on Thursday in western Farah province.

At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Governor Maulvi Rahimullah Mahmoud stated that the current security situation-compared to years of conflict-is now conducive to all forms of investment.

He encouraged citizens, national businessmen and investors to live and invest in the country without fear.

Hafiz Shamsulhaq Ajmal, Director of Commerce and Industry, said the factory was built by a national trader within six months.

He noted that the facility has already created jobs for around 25 unemployed youth.

Mohammad Dawood, the head of the flour factory, highlighted that the participation of provincial leaders, local officials and citizens in the opening ceremony was a strong show of support for traders and investors.

Currently, the factory produces approximately 80 tons of flour every 24 hours. Dawood added that once electricity shortages are resolved, the production capacity will increase, and exports to other countries will begin.

Meanwhile, several factory workers expressed satisfaction over the new employment opportunities, saying the job market in the region has improved significantly, reducing the need for youth to migrate abroad.

Atiqullah, one of the workers, urged other businessmen to invest in various sectors to create more job opportunities for unemployed youth like himself.
