Pakistan Summons Afghan Envoy, Demands Taliban Cut Ties With TTP And Act Against Indian Support
Pakistan has summoned the Afghan envoy in Islamabad to deliver a strong message to the Taliban government, urging it to distance itself from the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and to act against the presence of the group and India's intelligence agency, RAW, on Afghan soil.
According to details, Islamabad has pressed the Taliban administration to sever all links with the internationally designated terrorist outfit TTP and to fulfill its pledges of eliminating them from Afghan territory. The message was conveyed through Afghanistan's interim ambassador to Pakistan, Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb, who was recently called to the Foreign Office. He was categorically told that the Taliban government must ensure that Afghan soil is not used for carrying out acts of terrorism.
The Foreign Office stated that the envoy was summoned in view of the recent spike in activities of what it described as the“Khawarij terrorists,” who have found sanctuary in Afghanistan.

Pakistani officials further maintained that these militants are receiving full financial assistance and patronage from India's intelligence agency, RAW.
Diplomatic sources confirmed to Jang that Additional Foreign Secretary Syed Ali Asad Gillani conveyed Pakistan's warning to the Taliban representative during the meeting at the Foreign Office.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq Khan, has returned from the United Arab Emirates where he was on an undisclosed mission regarding Afghanistan. He is expected to present a detailed report of his engagements to the Prime Minister. Sources indicated that he may lead a senior-level delegation to Kabul later this week.
