Fidan, Qatari counterpart hold talks in Qatar

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Sani, on Monday, according to statements from the Turkish Foreign Ministry on the NSosyal platform.

The discussions took place on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation–Arab League Joint Extraordinary Summit held in Doha, Qatar. Fidan also held a separate meeting with Al Sani on Sunday as part of the summit activities.

The emergency summit convened in response to last week’s Israeli strike in Doha, which targeted Hamas leaders and resulted in the deaths of five group members along with a Qatari security officer.

A final declaration from the summit is anticipated, amid proposals for enhanced military cooperation among Arab and Islamic nations and potential measures to boycott Israel.
