Charlie Kirk gets murdered at university event


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, a conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was murdered in an event at Utah Valley University, was a significant figure in America’s conservative youth movement, with a large number of followers on social media platforms.

In 2012, Kirk co-established Turning Point USA, a nonprofit organization that gathers conservative students on high school and college campuses. Its declared mission is to “identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government.”

the organization, where Kirk worked as executive director, became a major force in Republican politics, frequently organizing large conferences and bringing high-level figures from Leader Donald Trump’s circle. Kirk as well appeared as a major influence in Trump’s mantra MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.

Kirk was born and grew up in the Chicago suburbs later on he dropped out of college to dedicate himself fully to political activism. His popularity grew due to his participation in campus events, social media, as well as The Charlie Kirk Show, a prominent talk show and podcast.
