Arm Awards Global PR Business To Golin

(MENAFN- PRovoke) SAN FRANCISCO - Chip design company Arm has handed its lucrative global PR business to Golin after a highly competitive review that started in May, PRovoke Media has learned.

The UK-based firm's chip architecture powers nearly every smartphone and hundreds of billions of other devices worldwide, making it one of this year's most sought-after tech accounts.

The business is estimated to be worth seven figures, with Golin's remit covering the US, Europe, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, with additional project support in select target markets and disciplines. Golin's San Francisco office will lead the account.

Arm previously worked with Archetype in the US, Europe and China.

“Arm is the foundation of modern computing and AI, with more than 325 billion Arm-based chips shipped and touching 100% of the world's connected population,” said Erica Rodriguez Pompen, Arm's VP of external communications.“We sought an agency with strong tech, semiconductor, and AI storytelling expertise, along with global reach, to partner with us as we scale our story with impact. We're looking forward to working with Golin as we build the future of computing on Arm.”

According to the RFP issued by Arm in May, the company was looking for“a global agency-of-record for our technology and product communications as we move to position Arm as the unstoppable force leading the AI revolution and drive demand and preference for Arm's AI compute solutions.” The company has made a“concerted effort” to raise its visibility since its public listing on Nasdaq in September 2023.

Arm said it was seeking an agency with strong media and analyst relations capabilities to drive coverage beyond product launches, elevate technical announcements and build narratives that highlight real-world use cases. The brief also called for support in raising executive visibility through targeted speaking opportunities, leveraging industry and Arm-owned events for storytelling, and providing strategic counsel on social media as the company expands its in-house capabilities.

Arm said its priority markets are the US, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, noting that while the company does not sell products in the UK, it plays an important role as Arm's global headquarters in Cambridge and from a global media perspective.

In certain areas, such as automotive, policy or major projects, Arm may need to increase activity in other markets including India, Southeast Asia, Germany and France, and requires an agency capable of scaling globally, it said.

"It's a pivotal time for Arm, and we can't wait to help this visionary company shape its narrative to achieve a new level of visibility and recognition,” said Golin West Coast tech practice lead John Derryberry.“We're excited to work with Arm, bringing our deep technical subject matter understanding, strategic rigor, creative thinking, and data-driven mindset to support Arm's next chapter.”
