Ukraine's Trade Turnover Reaches $78.9 Billion Over Eight Months


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) That is according to the State Customs Service , as reported by Ukrinform.

During this period, imports totaled $52.6 billion, while exports reached $26.3 billion. Of the imported goods, $40 billion were subject to taxation, representing 76% of the total import volume.

As noted, the average tax burden on taxable imports was $0.52 per kilogram.

Ukraine imported the most goods from China-worth $11.6 billion-followed by Poland at $5 billion and Germany at $4.2 billion.

The largest export destinations for Ukrainian goods were Poland ($3.3 billion), Turkey ($2 billion), and Germany ($1.5 billion).

In terms of product categories, 68% of imported goods were made up of machinery, equipment, and transport-worth $20.7 billion and generating UAH 129.4 billion in customs revenue (29% of total duties). Chemical industry products accounted for $8.3 billion (UAH 64.7 billion, or 15%), while fuel and energy materials totaled $6.7 billion (UAH 125.2 billion, or 28%).

The leading export categories included food products at $14.6 billion, metals and metal products at $3 billion, and machinery, equipment, and transport at $2.5 billion.

In the first eight months of 2025, customs clearance of exports subject to export duties generated UAH 174.2 million in budget revenue.

As earlier reported, Ukraine's trade turnover from January to July 2025 stood at $69.1 billion.
