Israeli Occupation Approves Plan To Take Control Of Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Aug 8 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation government has approved its head Benjamin Netanyahu's plan to take control of Gaza City and expand its military operations.
Following a 10-hour meeting of the Israeli occupation security cabinet, it was agreed to occupy Gaza, Netanyahu's office said in a press release.
Netanyahu had intended to take over all of Gaza, with his plan focusing specifically on Gaza City, the largest city in the already besieged territory, where hundreds of thousands of people are living.
The United Nations (UN) has warned that the Israeli occupation expanding military operations risks "catastrophic consequences" for Palestinian civilians.
Earlier on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces killed 100 Palestinians and injured 603 others, raising the death toll in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, to over 61,258, while those injured has risen to 152,045.(end)
