Erdogan receives Kazakh leader at presidential complex in Ankara


(MENAFN) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye officially received Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Tuesday at the presidential complex in Ankara. The visit began with a formal welcoming ceremony, after which the two leaders held a one-on-one meeting.

Following their talks, Erdogan and Tokayev were scheduled to jointly preside over the fifth session of the Türkiye-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Council.

Several senior Turkish officials took part in the welcoming event, including the foreign, environment, energy, culture, education, defense, industry, agriculture, trade, and transportation ministers.

After their official discussions, both presidents were set to participate in a signing ceremony for bilateral agreements and address the media in a joint press conference. Later in the day, Erdogan planned to host an official dinner in honor of Tokayev, during which he would present the Kazakh president with the State Order of the Republic of Türkiye.
